In this study, it is aimed to identify higher education students’ perceptions of courses and examine their relation with students’ learning preferences. For this purpose, a questionnaire was developed by consisting of 28 items about learning preferences. Thequestionnaire was carried out among 237 students of Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty and Law School of Atatürk University in the semester of 2009-2010. The data was examined by a confirmatory Principle Component Analysis and adjustments were made on the questionnaire items. The findings shows that the questionnaire is appropriate to measure students’ course satisfaction in 7 factor (syllabus, content, instruction, materials, classroom, evaluation and satisfaction). The results show that students’ have differentlearning preference at different levels and there is a significant correlation between this preferences and course perception. These results suggest that learning preferences should be taken into account when developing courses.
