Description:
In this paper, the basic formal and conceptual features of space-time physics (general relativity and special relativity) and non-relativistic quantum theory are compared and discussed. Such a comparation will reveal their similarities as well as their differences, making partially clear the reasons of their disparity and the obstacles that must be faced on searching a proper frame for them both to be unified. This approach may be useful as much for teachers as for postgraduate students involved in foundations of physics, by insisting on its physical meaning and leading up the way towards further studies.
