The purpose of the study is to investigate the level of the motivation of primary school students according to kinds of variables and reveal the factors motivating students to learning. This Turkish version of questionnaire was applied 663 students enrolled at 6th, 7th and 8th grades of 3 different primary schools in Aydın-Turkey. In the study, “Students’ Motivation Toward Science Learning (SMTSL)” Questionnaire and Personal Information Inventory were used. It was found that students have quite high levels of motivation towards science learning. While students’ motivation levels show significant differences according to all variables (class level, weekly science and technology studying hours, the number of the books at home) except gender. Morever, there is positive medium level significant relation between levels of motivation towards science learning and the last exam question got from science and technology.
