The article deals with the analysis of Sovietism from the point of view of the spatio-temporal outlook of the literature of the emigrant writers. As a result of application of the contextual analysis and the method of semantic analysis the main criteria of rating the Soviet lexicon as a group of Sovietism and the features of the use os Sovietism in the emigrant literature were identified. Aspects of functioning of the Soviet lexicon were examined. The received results can be applied a basis for creation of dictionaries of the Soviet lexicon and the analyzed examples can be become a basis of study of subjects as a history of Russian literary language, rhetoric, practical stylistics, Russian and literature and etc.
