This article presents some thoughts on the need to understand children, and their varied childhoods, as a social category and highlights a conception of the body as biologic and social at the same time, making possible and necessary the comparison of the relations between children, education and body. These reflections aim to be a contribution to constituting individuals with rights; providing ideas for a Childhood Pedagogy in the context of educational interventions, which affect mainly children’s corporal dimension. The article is a theoretical review, applying historical-cultural oriented studies with contributions from Childhood Sociology, Child Anthropology and other areas studying childhood. It aims for a multi-disciplinary perspective to approach of this relation between body, childhood and education. This article is written in Portuguese
