The purpose of this study is to examine whether there is significant differences in primary school students’ emotional adjustment levels who participate and do not participate in school sports. The sample group consist of 66 students (female 49, male 17) do not participate in school sports and 66 athlete-students (male 44, female 22) participate in school sports from different sports branches totaly 132 children (male 93, female 39). Hacettepe Emotional Adjustment Scale (HEAS) was used to gather data. Descriptive statistics, independet samples t test, kruskal wallis h test techniques were used while analysing data. There are significant differences in primary school students’ neurotic,bahaviour and other behaviour problem levels in favor of those who participate in school sports There are no significant differences in athlete-students’ neurotic, bahaviour and other behaviour problem levels according to sports branches. As conclusion it may be said that the students who participate in school sports are more adjusted emotionally compared to students do not participate in.
