Description:
Water flow escaping from tubes connected to bottles is a simple and easy experiment for reasonable interpretation of the students by using Bernoulli´s equation. The experiment is a clear example to represent an exponential decay. Bernoulli´s equation implies flow without turbulence or viscosity, but, previously published papers do not verify this affirmation. In this work, we proposed a didactic experiment to measure in water flows, the losses of energy associated with the turbulence and the water viscosity by using two different diameters as output tubes and four tube-lengths.
