The paper derives from a research project concern with professional guidance. Its central objective is to model the process of pedagogical professional attitudes formation by university professors in Cuba. The model includes three subsystems: pedagogical attitude portraying, contextualizing and problematizing. Likewise, the concepts of “educative situation”, “professional assistance” and “pedagogical attitudes” are defined. Those notions are distinguishing the model from the traditional approach. Among the pedagogical attitudes described the reader might find those attitudes of interdisciplinary, collaborative attitudes and professional self-appraisal. A description of the career and year staff responsibility in personality development, namely the formation of attitudes is provided.
