O artigo discute referências teóricas para a realização de pesquisas relativas à influência de políticas públicas no trabalho e na formação docente. Toma como ponto de partida a concepção, proposta por Foucault, de que o poder não existe por si só e que ele se estabelece em relações difusas. Nesse contexto, para a investigação a respeito da elaboração e implantação das políticas públicas é necessário identificar os pólos que estão atuando. Em um primeiro momento apresentam-se aspectos gerais das políticas educacionais e, em um segundo, as vinculações entre essas com o trabalho e a formação docente. Conclui-se que a contribuição dessas pesquisas ocorre à medida que contribuem para diagnosticar o alinhamento e/ou o descompasso das políticas públicas com o trabalho e a formação docente.The article discusses theoretical references for conducting research on the influence of public policies on teacher work and training. It takes as its starting point the concept, proposed by Foucault, that the power does not exist by itself and that it establishes diffuse relations. In this context, for research concerning the development and implementation of public policies it is necessary to identify the poles that are acting. At first, general aspects of educational policy are presented, and then, their linkages with teacher work and training. We conclude that the contribution of these researches is to diagnose the alignment and/or the imbalance of public policies and teacher work and training.
