Partant du constat que l’approche interculturelle en didactique des langues-cultures est une approche normative, ainsi que du postulat selon lequel cette approche, appliquée à la formation des enseignants, formalise leur éthique professionnelle, l’auteur questionne la légitimité de l’approche interculturelle à fonder l’éthique professionnelle des enseignants de langue-culture. Confrontant le discours normatif de l’approche interculturelle à la pratique effective des enseignants, il souligne un décalage pernicieux entre un discours interculturaliste consensuel et une pratique enseignante conflictuelle. Dénonçant ainsi les limites de l’approche interculturelle, l’auteur réfléchit aux moyens de s’affranchir de son primat. Défendant la thèse que le conflit peut constituer un processus positif d’évolution, il fait alors l’examen de certaines approches et outils qui, déjà éprouvés dans le champ des sciences de l’éducation ou du travail social, permettraient de mieux répondre aux exigences d’une formation à l’éthique professionnelle des enseignants de langue-culture.<br>Drawing on the evidence that the intercultural approach in the didactics of languages and cultures is a normative approach, together with the postulate that this approach, applied to the education of teachers, forms their professional ethics, the author questions the legitimacy of the intercultural approach to establish the professional ethics of languageand culture teachers. Confronting the normative discourse of the intercultural approach with the effective practice of teachers, he highlights a pernicious gap between a consensual intercultural approach and conflicting teaching practice. By challenging the limits of the intercultural approach, the author reflects on the means to escape its primacy in the education of teachers. Defending the thesis that the conflict can constitute a positive process , he then analyzes certain approaches and tools already tried in the field of science education or social work which would allow a more effective response to the requirements of professional ethics training.
