In this paper we study what and how students learn in secondary education, science modelsproposed to explain the formation and vision of the optical images, when implemented in theclassroom, a teaching model designed in this research. It works with 10 high school students 15 to16 years old. It implements a quasi-experimental design (no control group) type pretest -intervention-posttest. Students has experienced a radical change in their way of knowing. Wediscuss the impact of teaching and warns of the conceptual nuclei whose learning is more complexfor students.
