Resumen:En el presente artículo se discuten ideas y conceptos centrales de la primera y última parte de la obra de Lev S.Vygotski, los cuales han sido obviados por la mayoría de sus seguidores, tanto en la antigua Psicología Soviética, como en la Psicología Occidental. La obra de Vygotski ha sido identificada, de forma general, con su teoría cultural-histórica, asociada a sus trabajos entre 1928 y 1931. En este trabajo se retoman las ideas de Vygotski sobre el carácter generador de las emociones, el lugar de la fantasía y la imaginación, la personalidad y la unidad de lo cognitivo y lo afectivo, desarrolladas en algunos de sus primeros trabajos y discutidas en relación a sus consecuencias para la educación. También, son analizadas las categorías de sentido, vivencia y situación social del desarrollo, a través de las cuales Vygotski intenta concretar su idea de la unidad de lo cognitivo y lo afectivo en el desarrollo humano. A partir de esas categorías se introduce la cuestión de la subjetividad en el marco histórico cultural, la que se apoya en las categorías de sentido subjetivo y configuraciones subjetivas. Finalmente, se discuten las consecuencias de la reinserción de la cuestión de la subjetividad a partir del legado de Vygotski para la educación.Abstract:This paper focuses on ideas and concepts developed by Lev S.Vygotsky at the beginning and the end of his work. These ideas have been overlooked by most of his followers, either in the former Soviet psychology or in the Western psychology. Vygotsky´s work has been generally identified with his cultural-historical theory related to his works between 1928 and 1931. In this paper we examine Vygotsky´s ideas concerning the relevance of the emotions, the generative character of the psyche, fantasy, imagination, personality and the unity between emotional and cognitive processes, developed at the first and third moments of his work, and discuss in their implications for education. Vygotsky‟s concepts of sense, „pereshivanie, and social situation of development are also discussed. We argue that through these concepts Vygotsky made an attempt to represent his idea of the cognitive - emotional unity in the human development. The idea of the subjectivity is analyzed in relation to such categories from a historical – cultural standpoint. This idea is introduced based on the categories of subjective sense and subjective configurations. Finally, the consequences of the reinsertion of the topic of subjectivity on this approach for the education are discussed
