The aim of this study is to investigate the correlation between the graphing ability and the kinematics graphs interpreting ability of tenth grade students. 501 students at 10th grade from five public and four Anatolian high schools in Balıkesir participated in this study. ‘Test of Understanding Kinematics Graphs’, ‘Test of Constructing, Understanding and Interpreting Graphs’ were used in the study. As a result of this study, it was found that there is a significant correlation between graphing ability and the kinematics graphs interpreting ability. It was also found that there are no gender differences in terms of the kinematics graphs interpreting and the graphing ability.
