A História e Filosofia da Ciência (HFC) tem se tornado um campo com significativas inserções no Ensino de Ciências. Este trabalho tem como objetivo geral apresentar uma análise do texto teatral Oxigênio visando à abordagem da HFC. Especificamente, será apresentada uma análise sobre a construção do conceito cientista, focalizando as temáticas poder e ambição. O texto teatral foi analisado utilizando-se a Análise do Discurso na perspectiva foucaultiana. A análise explicitou a problematização de questões com respeito a motivação, interesses, ética e trabalho científico. Esses aspectos estão inseridos no escopo das discussões abarcadas pela HFC no sentido de se atingir a alfabetização científica.<br>The History and Philosophy of Science (HPS) has become a field with significant insertions in the teaching of Science. The general objective of this paper is to present an analysis of the theatrical text Oxygen aiming at approaching the HPS. Specifically, an analysis of the construction of the concept of the scientist will be presented, focusing on the themes of power and ambition. The theatrical text was analyzed using Discourse Analysis from a Foucauldian perspective. The analysis revealed questions with regard to motivation, interests, ethics and scientific work. Those aspects are inserted in the purpose of the arguments comprised by the HPS in the sense of reaching the scientific literacy.
