Description:
In the article an attempt is made to solve the problem of balance between the imaginative nature of creative writing and the class-lesson school system. Under the conditions of the second generation curriculum the personality oriented approach based on students active participation in the educational process has become rele vant. The author describes the actions, required for reading comprehension, which should be purposefully developed in school students, and names the conditions promoting the efficiency of this process, namely: developing the interest to art and exploring its features. Dependence of the form of the lesson on the form of the work under study and the need for formative assessment of learners based on the certain criteria is proved.
