Description:
Un travail effectué conjointement permettrait également d’obtenir davantage de reconnaissance de la part de nos institutions.<br>LEA (Applied Languages) and LANSAD (Languages for Students of Other Disciplines) curricula aim at providing students with English communication skills. Even if they adopt diverging teaching policies and approaches by using different criteria and training practices, they have to face similar obstacles to meeting their goals. Their similarities and discrepancies suggest that student and teacher motivation can be regarded as a major concern for the two communities. The question is to investigate some triggering factors, namely the syllabi, error assessment, and career needs and prospects. To this end, joint action research is likely to be most valuable to LEA and LANSAD teachers and learners alike. We do need extensive surveys providing reliable data to remedy fuzzy decisions, approximate assessment and lack of recognition from institutions.
